Who is SNCB?
As the National Railway Company of Belgium, SNCB connects thousands of travellers every day.
More than 18,000 colleagues work together to provide customers with a pleasant journey, from Ostend to Liège, from Antwerp to Virton.
These customers come from all walks of life. SNCB is also committed to seeing this social diversity reflected in its workforce. This way, it keeps in touch with travellers, encourages innovation and creates a pleasant working environment.
SNCB wants to give its managers and HR business partners the confidence to deal with this diversity. That is why SNCB is not only going to raise their awareness, but will also be giving them practical tools. This way, they themselves can contribute to an inclusive corporate culture. SNCB called upon TinQwise to help with this mission.
What is behind this?
This resulted in an e-learning in which case-based learning is central. We let managers and HR business partners reflect on recognisable situations and hold up a mirror to them. In order to make this run smoothly, we use an informal tone of voice that appeals to a large audience.
The moments of reflection are fed back to the diversity and inclusion policy of SNCB. But this policy changes regularly, of course. That is why we opted for a modular structure. The e-learning consists of separate modules that stand alone, but have the same attractive design. This way, SNCB can always add modules to the LMS and the entirety remains intact.
This is proving to be a successful strategy. SNCB submitted our e-learning together with other courses for the Federal Diversity Award, which rewards the best diversity project of the federal public services each year. Our learning solution will now compete for the awards!
