"Help us support employers in reintegrating employees diagnosed with cancer." It was with this question that Foundation Against Cancer came knocking on TinQwise's door. Foundation Against Cancer is a monument in the Belgian knowledge landscape when it comes to cancer and has been dedicated to cancer prevention and treatment for almost 100 years. The patient is always the focal point, and that was no different for this collaboration with TinQwise!
Help the employer and the employee!
Foundation Against Cancer aims to provide employers and HR representatives with tools to guide the reintegration of their employees with a cancer diagnosis. There were three key questions: "How do I outline a legal policy?", "How do I provide administrative support?" and "How do I support emotionally?". TinQwise set to work with this briefing and RECONNECT was born: a platform where employers and HR representatives can find legal information as well as emotional and practical tips to support the employee.
The reintegration policy and I
After a brief introduction to the platform, RECONNECT gives the learner access to two streams of information. In the first stream "The reintegration policy and I", the HR employee discovers how to set up a reintegration policy in his/her/their organisation. A handy checklist for each phase guides the learner through the process so that they never forget a step!
My employee and I
In the second learning stream "My employee and I", the learner finds a wealth of practical and emotional support. Using short pieces of learning content, always formulated in the form of a question, RECONNECT stimulates the HR employee and employer. The learner receives authentic cases and is challenged to immediately apply the knowledge in practice. Besides useful information on reintegration, the learner will also find some tips on how to take care of themselves and a lot of useful templates and documents.
Coaching at your fingertips
Reading about reintegration is one thing. Applying it is another. That is why RECONNECT constantly gives employers and HR employees a push through the interactive material to try out the content in practice. Is this not enough or does the learner still need extra support? Then he or she can immediately contact a reintegration coach via RECONNECT, who’ll take care of further guidance. With RECONNECT, reintegration has never been easier!
